Full Job Description
The Alameda Free Library currently has year-round openings for part-time Library Aides to perform manual and clerical work consisting of shelving books in correct Dewey decimal order, assisting with magazine/newspaper processing, cleaning books, maintaining the alphabetical order of library materials, and other related work as needed. Work may also involve lifting boxes and climbing ladders to re-shelve books.
NOTE: Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years old at the time of hire and have a work permit if under the age of 18. This is an entry level position.This is a part-time job with day, evening, and weekend shifts. Work may be scheduled to include the main and branch locations.
