The Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) seeks to fill a Legal Assistant 3 position. This full-time permanent position is based in Olympia, Washington.
This position may be eligible for partial to near full-time teleworking. Telework is a combination of in-building and off-site days.

Position Overview
The position is to support multiple facets of the Office of Legal Affairs.
It will support the Chief Legal Officer and the Deputy Legal Officer in their various tasks and duties, as well as each of the following programs: Equity and Civil Rights, Office of Professional Practices, and Public Records and Records Management.
The position will also be the primary point of contact for tracking work and deadlines within the division and will receive and help respond to correspondence.
These tasks and duties will help the Office of Legal Affairs manage an increased workload and responsibility arising from increased litigation and federal actions.
The position will also assist the Chief and Deputy Legal Officers in their efforts to de-silo and facilitate a more generalist legal division that is more flexible and adaptive to meet the new legal needs of OSPI.

CompensationThe annual compensation for the position is $49,428 - $66,372 per year and depends upon experience, educational background and qualifications.
Geographic differentials may be applied based on work location of successful candidate.
Washington State offers a generous benefit package including health, dental and life insurance, retirement and an optional deferred compensation program.
