This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as a Lead Security Guard assigned under the authority of the Senior Commander at IMCOM supported installations.
This position functions as the first layer of defense in a security-in-depth concept to deter, detect, delay, assess, respond, and document unauthorized access.

Specialized Experience GS-7: One year of specialized experience which includes protecting property against such hazards as: fire, theft, damage, accidents and trespassing.
Coordinating communications during emergency situations, writing and reviewing incident reports; and controlling access to restricted areas.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
