This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Ft. Meade is located between two major cities, Baltimore and Washington D.C., and approximately 11 minutes from an International Airport. Ft.
Meade is a hub for the joint services, Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines & Navy. Recruitment and relocation incentives may be authorized. Student loan repayment may be authorized.
Salary negotiations for those candidates who are new to Federal service may be authorized.
Credit for Prior Non-Federal Work Experience and Certain Military Service for Determining Annual Leave Accrual Rate may be authorized.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) Experience with Federal, State, municipal, local, or private organizational protection of facilities and property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; and 2) Maintaining order and protecting life.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade, time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
