This position is located at Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) - Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Program.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Twelve months of work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.

Must have a current pool operator's license; lifeguard instructor certification, AED, CPR, oxygen administration, and First Aid certification.

Must be able to use sound judgment, accomplish tasks within established timeframes, and possess good people skills requiring the ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct manner.

Must have experience with office functions such as preparing and managing reports. Highly Preferred Criteria: Water Safety Instructor Certification Major Duties:

  • Oversees the accomplishment of work and evaluates park and recreation activities for pool and fitness operations.
  • Leads staff as required in the performance of their duties by providing coaching, directing, mentoring, training, monitoring and evaluating.
  • Enforces and carries out policy and requirements.
  • Keeps manager informed of events or items of significance.
  • Responsible for the safeguarding and protection of funds, property and personnel.
