This job involves leading a team of purchasing technicians in a naval training systems department, managing procurement processes, overseeing a purchase card program, and ensuring all purchases follow regulations while providing excellent customer service.
It's a supervisory role focused on organizing workflows, approving transactions, and handling administrative tasks like record-keeping and reporting.

You will serve as a Lead Purchasing Agent in the Training Systems Procurement Department of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band (DG-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Ability to lead a team and manage workload priorities for the team; 2) Performing complex purchasing work, utilizing technical purchasing methods and procedures; 3) Making purchases involving commercial requirements and average complexity; 4) Utilizing purchasing regulations, policies, and procedures; 5) Using solicitation and purchasing methods; and 6) Providing superior customer service in determining and purchasing customer requirements.
