Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-6. Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or 1 year graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job is for a lead police officer at a Navy base in California, where you'll oversee a team of officers, handle emergency responses, investigate incidents like accidents or assaults, and ensure security against threats.
It's ideal for someone with solid law enforcement experience who can lead others and stay calm in high-pressure situations.
You'll protect people and property on the base through daily patrols, coordination, and anti-terrorism efforts.
You will serve as a LEAD POLICE OFFICER in the Commander, Navy Installations Command of NAVBASE POINT LOMA SEC DET.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing law enforcement (LE), physical security (PS), antiterrorism (AT), and force protection (FP) functions; 2) Deploying specialized oradvanced techniques, equipment, knowledge, or training; 3) Conducting preliminary and/or ongoing investigations of incidents; and 4) Documenting lawenforcement and security events and the issuance of citations.
