Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of medical technicians at a military entrance processing center, where you'll help examine applicants by taking vital signs, collecting samples, running lab tests, and ensuring everything is documented accurately to determine if they're fit for military service.
It's a hands-on role in a government setting that requires attention to detail and some leadership skills.
A good fit would be someone with experience as a medical or lab technician who enjoys working with people and following medical protocols in a structured environment.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Specialized Experience for GS-07: Applicants must clearly identify in their resumes that they possess one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-06) or equivalent.
Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, which includes: Measuring vital signs of applicants/patients (i.e., taking blood pressure, pulse, respiration readings); Collecting specimens (i.e., blood, urine, tissue) from lab or directly from patient; Documenting patients' medical information into a computer system; Performing laboratory tests and examinations (i.e., chemical, microbiologic, hematologic and blood banking).
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Major Duties:
