About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience analyzing manpower needs, supporting budget preparation and/or execution, and using automated systems to evaluate program operations and/or recommend improvements.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

OR Education Requirement: A Ph.D., equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a field such as Business Administration that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Major Duties:

  • Oversee the synchronizing data between human resources/labor, financial/accounting), and clinical workload to ensure unified cost accounting.
  • Responsible for applying DHA cost accounting business rules to validate that all medical expenses are captured, allocated, and reported according to Defense Health Agency and organization standards.
  • Responsible for accuracy of all local MEPRS Codes tables and Organizations cost elements. Complies, reviews, analyzes, and submits all finalized MEPRS data to Defense Health Agency (DHA) and assigned DHA Network.
  • Responsible for assessing the efficiency of MEPRS operations and providing technical advice to BAMC leadership on resource management and organizational productivity.
  • Communicate the organization's strategic plan and milestones to the team, assigning work, and ensuring deadlines for complex analytical reports are met.
