Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of engineers at a naval facility in Washington, where you'll solve technical issues related to submarines and other military equipment, provide expert advice on repairs and maintenance, and ensure everything runs smoothly for the U.S.
Navy's Pacific Fleet. It's a hands-on role focused on analyzing problems, managing tasks, and reviewing contractor work to keep vital assets operational.
A good fit would be an experienced engineer with a background in naval or mechanical systems who enjoys teamwork, problem-solving, and working in a structured government environment.
You will serve as a LEAD GENERAL ENGINEER in the Engineering Division, Engineering and Planning Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer identifying, assessing technical problems and providing advice in the design, construction, or in-service support of naval vessels.
