You will serve as a LEAD CONTRACT SPECIALIST under the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC) Acquisitions Division of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.
In addition to the Basic Education Requirement for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing construction contract actions (such as for industrial, commercial, high-occupancy, and utility constructing projects) in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures; 2) Performing contract negotiations and terminations, evaluating contractor claims or settlement proposals, and executing settlement agreements; 3) Serving as an authority on the acceptability and applicability of contractual matters and actions; 4) Advising on and conducting the procurement process from solicitation to award and through all post award phases of contracting, including modifications, processing payments, final invoicing, final evaluation, and closeout; and 5) Providing advice, training, guidance, and interpretation for a team on procurement regulations, policies, and procedures.
