About the Position: This position is located in the Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Washington. Tacoma is a diverse city nestled between Seattle and the state capital of Olympia.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with budget planning and forecasting; analyzing and resolving budgetary problems; and coaching or training team members.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Major Duties:

  • Manages daily activities that support overall fund control
  • Assigns, distributes and balances daily workload within limits established by the supervisor
  • Reviews and consolidates budget estimates through assessment of validity of assumptions
  • Oversees and coordinates the preparation of a variety of daily, monthly, annual and special reports
  • Monitors the department's internal controls to identify discrepancies in program and budget planning
  • Provides budget and financial management training and advice to the organization's staff
