This part-time job at a bowling center on a military base in Alaska involves cleaning and maintaining bowling lanes, operating equipment, and keeping the facility tidy.

About the position: This position will be assigned to the Polar Bowl bowling center on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK.
Regular Part-Time employees have a regular and continuous work schedule of at least 20 hours to a maximum of 34 hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Knowledge in the maintenance of bowling lanes; skill and ability to operate, control and clean heavy powered equipment. Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Major Duties:
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of limited maintenance work within a bowling facility.
Cleans, oils, and polishes the bowling lanes and lane approaches adhering to established standards.
Sweeps, dusts, and cleans other areas of the bowling facility; collects and removes trash; and maintains all areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
Hand sands and varnishes minor flaws in lanes until surface can be conditioned.
Makes minor corrective adjustments to bowling lane machinery as necessary and performs periodic minor preventive maintenance on automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment.
Maintains stock levels and records on spare parts for automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment. Advises bowling facility management of unusual maintenance problems.
