About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Southwind's Marina, Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Texas.

This position is Flexible, guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours but can work up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. May include nights, weekends and holidays.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 04/20/2026 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Ability to follow written and oral instructions, to work independently with minimal supervision, must have valid driver's license, basic computer knowledge, must be available to work day, evening, and weekend shifts depending on needs of the programs.

Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to work with hand tools. Position of Trust. Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) required.

Must be able to pass physical examination and lift up to 50 lbs. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

Performs duties of a laborer in the operation of the marina program.

Types of duties include but are not limited to the following: Works in various outdoor recreation type of marina activities maintenance of the dock, boat slips, RV, camping, pavilion, cleaning and housekeeping for the cabins after guests depart, oversight of public restrooms and laundry facilities, the marina store, the courtesy dock, the grounds, etc.

Assist in loading and unloading boats and helping maintain a clean and organized maintenance shed and work areas.

Maintain equipment and facilities for use by employees and in support of the boating operation.

Assist customers loading/unloading equipment and check equipment for proper cleaning & operation when it is checked out and returned.

Assist with large base wide activities by loading, setting up, tearing down and returning equipment used for these special activities. Perform minor repairs and cleaning of marina equipment.

Performs grass cutting and trimming w/ power equipment, including but not limited to the hunting areas. Perform other related duties as assigned.
