About the position: This position is located at the Bowling Center, RAF Lakenheath. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

Scheduled hours will be 0-40 per week with no minimum guarantee. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Applicants will be categorized by preference(s) and/or priority consideration eligibilities.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Qualifying Experience: This is a developmental position. Target grade is Laborer, NA-3502-03. The position will be filled at the most qualified level.

Laborer (NA-02) Basic knowledge or experience in the maintenance of bowling lanes and experience which demonstrate the ability to operate, control and clean heavy powered equipment is desirable but not required.

Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions. Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.

Laborer (NA-03) Knowledge in the maintenance of bowling lanes; skill and ability to operate, control and clean heavy powered equipment. Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.

Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

Cleans, oils, and polishes the bowling lanes and lane approaches adhering to established standards.

Sweeps, dusts, and cleans other areas of the bowling facility; collects and removes trash; and maintains all areas in a clean and orderly fashion.

Hand sands and varnishes minor flaws in lanes until surface can be conditioned.

Makes minor corrective adjustments to bowling lane machinery as necessary and performs periodic minor preventive maintenance on automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment.

Maintains stock levels and records on spare parts for automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment. Advises bowling facility management of unusual maintenance problems.
