Full Job Description

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Moody Equipment Rental. Guaranteed 0 hours but may work up to 40 hours per week.

Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry medium to heavy objects up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds with assistance. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Experience which demonstrated the ability to operate, control and clean heavy powered equipment. Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.

Physically able to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.

Work that requires the skills and knowledge in operating heavy equipment, continually involves extreme physical effort; such as, constantly lifting or carrying objects weighing 80 to 100 pounds or more with assistance.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

Performs a combination of loading and un-loading, or relocating heavy or bulky items from boxcars, trucks, and other conveyances; carriers and assembles scaffolding.

May use shovel to dig trenches where soil is compacted in areas around facility; occasionally and for short periods of time, breaks up pavement with jackhammer, and fills holes in damaged roads.

Uses heavy (not domestic type) power mowers; adjust blades and cleans and oils mowers; cuts trees, using ax or chain saw. Performs other related duties as assigned.
