The Iowa Judicial Branch, in LinnCounty, seeks applicants for a Judicial Attendant in Linn District Associate Court and Juvenile Court to perform clerical, administrative, and logistical support for efficient operations.
This position will provide direct support to several District Associate Judges, including drafting orders, case scheduling, queue workflow triaging, case management, coordination and management of courtroom technology and remote court events.
This position will provide exceptional, professional customer service, assisting and communicating with court users, including judges, attorneys, clients, jurors, agencies, other internal and external justice partners, and the public.
This position directly supports District Associate Judges in misdemeanor and juvenile courts but may be assigned to other Judicial Attendant roles as needed.
The successful candidate will have extensive customer service experience and interpersonal skills; experience with court or legal process and terminology; experience with Microsoft Office Suite and online meeting programs; experience securing confidential and sensitive information; experience proofreading, editing, formatting, or drafting official documents; exceptional verbal and written communication skills; be highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful; and will be able to operate and navigate court-related computer programs and technology.

The pay range for this position is $23.13 - $36.57 per hour. This is a contract-covered, FLSA non-exempt position. The starting salary for new state employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range. Adjustments may be made if the successful candidate has relevant experience.

The incumbent must meet the minimum requirements to qualify for the position.
Experience may be substituted with related education on the basis that successful completion of thirty (30) semester hours or academic equivalent equals one year of experience.
Education cannot be substituted for customer service experience.
