This recruitment is being announced for our rapid hiring event on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Leeward Community College,

96-045 Ala Ike, Pearl City, HI 96782.


Applicants who receive a Notice of Eligibility will receive an email invitation to self-schedule for an in-person interview with a participating department to be conducted on-site at the February 28th Leeward Community College Job fair.

On-site interviews will be conducted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The invitation to schedule an interview, for applicants deemed eligible, will include scheduling instructions.

Current vacancies are located in Waipahu to Aiea; Halawa to Kalihi; Downtown; Manoa to Kahala; Kaneohe to Kualoa.

The following departments will be participating in this event, and their vacancies are as follows:

    • Kapiolani Community College - Kahala

Shift Work: Some positions require working rotating shifts, including evening, weekends, and holidays. The vacancies with Hawaii State Hospital have this requirement.


This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill both Permanent and Temporary vacancies.


Note: Employees appointed to temporary positions may also gain membership in the civil service upon satisfactory completion of an initial probation period of at least six months.

Once you become a member of the civil service, you become eligible to apply for promotion and transfer opportunities to permanent as well as other temporary positions.

You may also enjoy other rights and benefits afforded to an employee in a permanent position with the exception of return rights and placement rights associated with a reduction-in-force.


Requirements

Qualifications


Legal Authorization to Work Requirement:
