Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: - Arranges for installation and testing of new products to determine their compatibility with existing baselines.

- Conducts feasibility studies of possible hardware/software additions, upgrades and/or modifications to meet future requirements.

- Develops and presents mission briefing, system briefings, and systems/operational training to management, staff and end-users as required B.

Education: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Serves within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Information Operations (J6), Contingency IT Operations Division, Enterprise Service Delivery (ESD) Directorate.
  • Responsible for planning and project management for both CONUS and OCONUS IT environments and maintains a high level of deployment readiness.
  • Develops formal written network plans and designs, and identifies technical hardware/ software PC and PC peripheral configuration interface requirements with host computer facility and end-user systems
  • Serves as Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) in the receipt and acceptance of new equipment/software and in the administration of IT contracts.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of plans (short and long range) identifying software and hardware configuration requirements to support end-user computing and automated information systems, including office automation.
  • Operates deployable IT capabilities to support agency’s contingency, humanitarian, and disaster relief responses.
  • Deploys and operates tactical servers and terminals over satellite communications, as well as, RF Point to Point Radios for network expansions.
  • Operates and maintains peripheral devices to operate with Distribution Standard System (DSS).
