This vacancy is for a GS - 2210 - 11, IT Cybersecurity Specialist (DATAMGT) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OAKLAND BUSINESS OPERATIONS SECTION OAKLAND, CA.
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal sector.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.
Providing technical support and assistance for computer-aided design (CAD) and geospatial information system (GIS) hardware and software; or assisting with the maintenance and management electronic document and data management systems.
Monitoring contractor compliance with contract requirements, performance standards, and service level agreements.
Assisting with maintenance and controlling content on external internet web pages; or assisting with implementing data governance and records management; or assisting with managing and administering data, permissions, and user access.
Assisting with hardware maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting of server hardware and software; or assisting with patches, and configurations to ensure operational performance; or assisting with applying cybersecurity principles to protect system integrity.
Assisting with the maintenance of IT hardware, peripherals, and software applications; or assisting with system deployment and implementation activities.

You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (DATAMGT) and be responsible for the administration of IT systems; oversees the administration of databases, performs system analysis and management, and contracting officer representative in support of the CEU mission.

Typical work assignments include: Providing technical expertise in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Geospatial Information System (GIS) hardware and software.
Managing the document database and overseas the uploading of documents and files related to construction and design contracts.
Serving as Contracting Officers Representative (COR) for Computer Aided Design and Document management (CADD) services contract, which provides CADD production work to support engineering design workload.
Ensures the most effective use of available information system tools to create job aids and provide training to CEU Office to achieve consistent results and to configure appropriate settings for software and hardware.
Performing IT work involved to maintain the functionality, security, and availability of systems, such as hardware maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting server hardware and software.
Managing data, permissions, and collaboration platforms on CEUO's SharePoint/MS Teams pages and contents of external internet webpage.
Monitoring system performance using appropriate performance-monitoring tools.
Training staff on proper workstation and peripheral computer equipment use and providing technical guidance on approved database management systems, spreadsheets, word-processing, and other software applications.
Assisting with configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of IT hardware, peripherals, and software applications to ensure optimal system performance.
Identifying and specifying business requirements for new or upgraded computer hardware and peripheral equipment.
Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
The incumbent must obtain and maintain a Contracting Officer Representative certification for COR duties. Certification must be completed within 6 months after entry into position.
