IT Business Analyst III
The Department of Administration's (Admin) Office of Technology and Information Services is the state’s central provider of IT services to state government agencies. We are growing and are now seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst III to join our team. This role is an integral part of our Endpoint Support team and will provide operational endpoint support and customer support services for Admin, support customers, and executive level agencies. In this role you will ensure the Division of Technology Operation's (DTO) endpoint services billing is current and up to date, to coordinate end-user deployments and manage licensing, as well as to work with associated vendors to ensure DTO's endpoint standards are up to date, and to manage vendor portals. It also will act as liaison with Agency Desktop techs and vendors for project work such as agency workstation moves, refreshes, and sanitizations.
This position is onsite in beautiful Columbia, South Carolina.
Responsibilities of the IT Business Analyst III:- Ensure endpoint business operations and reporting remain current and accurate. Primary point of contact for managed workstation customers for billing, reporting and projects. Ensure customers are accurately billed and reported for consumed services.
- Analyze current processes and procedures to create future configurations which lead to gains in efficiency and cost savings. Ensure agency customers are properly billed for services outside of provided services at consulting rate.
- Provide accurate and timely reports. Manage system business activities defined by an agency’s Systems Life Cycle.
- Perform as project liaison between customer and ESS, involve project management team when number of project systems/users exceed threshold or project complexity requires one.
- Perform customer coordination and communication for workstation deployments, refreshes, and sanitizations. Regularly serve as program/project leader involving both internal and external projects dealing with Endpoint Computing services.
- Provide expertise for the design and business feasibility of IT systems within a wide range of complexity levels. Recommend tools/solutions to develop/enhance systems and applications.
- Generate enterprise configuration management reports and compile them for environment consistency and compliance. Create and execute processes and procedures that ensure that all systems, products, and services meet agency standards and end-user requirements.
- Administer and manage endpoint user licensing for Admin and managed customers as assigned. Manage and track license consumption by agency. Provide reports to management when required.
- Perform as vendor liaison ensuring products meet established state standards. Lead the coordination of system modifications with business functional areas and IT. Coordinate and verify that vendor portals are accurate and up to date.
- This position is considered essential in order to maintain continuity of operations within the ESS group while providing the necessary support for DTO and its customers. May be requested to serve on committees, project teams, or other augmented duties as necessary.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area and experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
- CJIS certification is required.
