Job Description

Summary

This job involves analyzing intelligence related to military operations, command structures, and advanced technologies to help the Defense Intelligence Agency make informed decisions for national security.

The role requires evaluating political-military dynamics, assessing weapon systems and communication infrastructures, and producing reports on emerging trends.

It's a good fit for experienced intelligence analysts with deep knowledge of defense matters and a passion for teamwork in high-stakes environments.

Key Requirements

  • Expertise in national or regional military history, force structures, equipment, modernization, readiness, and sustainability
  • Ability to assess and correlate intelligence outcomes to identify implications and mitigate decision-making risks
  • Proficiency in complex methodologies for evaluating Command and Control (C2), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) data integration, telecommunication infrastructure, and weapons system technologies
  • Skill in calculating confidence levels for probable outcomes using analytic techniques and subject matter expertise
  • Knowledge of conventional and nuclear C4I systems, processes, and procedures
  • Experience leading interagency working groups focused on C4ISR
  • Experience analyzing technical SIGINT data

Determines and disseminates salient factors required to solve or mitigate intelligence problems related to country or regional political-military dynamics, military command relationships, and decision-making processes.

Employs breadth and depth of knowledge in national or regional history of military, force structure, equipment, modernization, readiness, and sustainability to appraise and critique significant military capabilities information and analyses; authors/co-authors assessments and studies that emphasize new trends and developments and updates appropriate databases.

3. Assesses and correlates outcomes of analytic design process to discern core meaning, importance, implications, and to mitigate decision-making risks. 4.

Independently employs complex methodologies to evaluate Command and Control, ISR data integration, physical telecommunication infrastructure, and weapons system release technology and procedures enabling the targeting of advanced conventional weapons.

5. Calculates confidence in probable outcomes based on sound analytic techniques and subject matter expertise, illustrating Defense implications and opportunities. HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS 1.
