Full Job Description

This position is located in Defense Information Systems Agency, JSO/(J4) FACILITIES & LOGIST DIR-FL111 Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as Utilizing property accountability systems to conduct inventory and monitor property; Coordinating with stakeholders on matters pertaining to property management and accountability; and, Utilizing computerized databases to create reports and spreadsheets.

In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position.

Major Duties:

  • As a senior Inventory Management Specialist with logistical responsibility, executes and/or directs the functions of a working group to assure united and balanced application of total efforts associated with customer required items.
  • Interprets, provides guidance, and implements procedures as issued by higher authority in support of supply systems.
  • Facilitates and enhances the SMC's performance through logistical determinations, distribution direction, facilities maintenance direction, procurement direction, and disposal direction.
  • Responsible for the complete integrated material management of assigned items as well as developing, executing, and supporting approved programs and assisting the supervisor and other managers in completion of special projects.
  • Reviews, monitors, and coordinates detailed logistical information and status of assigned projects.
