Summary

This job involves managing military property and equipment at a training center in California, including keeping accurate records, handling storage and distribution, and ensuring everything follows rules and budgets.

About the Position: Serves as a Property Book Officer and Senior Specialist in the Operations Group Area of responsibility (AOR) at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, CA.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which includes the following.

Experience in Property Book Officer operations to include managing property accountability records, and processing financial liability actions with automated systems such as FLIPL Tracker or eFLIPL; overseeing property logistics (receipt, issue, storage); analyzes all relevant laws, regulations, and policies for compliance in operations; administer Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) and/ or Modified Table of Equipment (MTOE).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to Detail Flexibility Integrity/Honesty Interpersonal Skills Learning Reading Comprehension Reasoning Self-Management Stress Tolerance Teamwork Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major Duties:

  • Provide program Direction to Operations Group activities.
  • Assist with analyzing budgets and programs.
  • Provide technical expertise in the field of automated logistics systems design/analysis in order to serve as the functional interface on ADP matters
  • Acts as Assistant to the Operations Group S4 to provide general supervision in form of policy, priorities, and program objectives.
