You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY NUCLEAR ENGINEER/HEALTH PHYSICIST in the RADIATION HEALTH DIVISION, RADIOLOGICAL CONTROL OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
For the GS-0840-11: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning and preparing project designs and protocols for research and development work on methods, techniques, and work processes, ensuring compliance with existing regulations.
Coordinating, monitoring, reviewing, and integrating efforts of engineers, consultants, physicists, mechanics and others.
Applying comprehensive knowledge of nuclear engineering/health physics concepts, and principles, as well as administrative techniques to carry out a radiation health program.
Using engineering and health physics sampling techniques and instrumentation to evaluate the magnitude of radiation health conditions. Writing comprehensive technical/scientific reports.
For the GS-0840-09: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
