Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

This role involves leading engineering teams to integrate propulsion systems into naval aircraft, ensuring safety and efficiency through advanced modeling techniques and coordination with various experts.
It suits experienced engineers with a background in mechanical or aerospace fields who enjoy managing projects, communicating with high-level leaders, and handling technical risks in a military context.
A good fit would be someone detail-oriented and collaborative, with at least a few years in systems engineering for defense projects.
You will serve as a GENERAL, MECHANICAL OR AEROSPACE ENGINEER in the Air Systems Group, System Safety and Air Systems Integration Department, Air systems Integration Division, Propulsion Integration Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is equivalent to GS-14, Step 10: $143, 913 - $187,093.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band DP-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional GENERAL, MECHANICAL OR AEROSPACE ENGINEER.
Specialized experience must demonstrate all of the following: 1) Training and exposure to systems engineering and the systems engineering process (SETR Events); 2) Experience in at least one Propulsion and Power commodity area through management of a project or program in the research, development or improvement of a Propulsion and Power commodity item;3) Lead a group of diverse engineers in the accomplishment of a task or project; 4) Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principals; 5) Exposure to DoW financial management (obligations and expenditures) and contract management; 6) Demonstrated experience in communications with senior leaders (GS-15 level or higher), and in the management of technical requirements.
