Full Job Description

You will serves as a Mission Systems Chief Architect that establishes and executes the architectural framework consistent with Distributed Maritime Operations Concept for the acquisition, development and employment of Naval Aviation capabilities.

This position is in the Mission Systems Group, Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).

  • You will serve as the principal technical Mission Systems Chief Architect for capability development and employment.
  • You will establish and execute architectural framework that builds a Distributed Maritime Operations (DMO) concept across DoD services.
  • You will assess multiple-domain interoperability across the entire kill chain that enables integrated solutions to fill critical capability gaps.
  • You will provide senior technical engineering leadership for acquisition and research, development, test and evaluation (RDTE) of Open Systems solutions including the use of a Government Reference Architecture (GRA) to program offices and platforms.
  • You will provide expert advice to Programs of Record and non-traditional programs with implementation of ASN/RDA Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA) Implementation Guide.
  • You will develop and execute strategy to use Agile Mission Suite/Government Reference Architecture (AMS/GRA) Skills to fill Naval Aviation and Platform capability gaps.
  • You will oversee conversion of Fleet Design Concepts, Doctrine and Modernization plans into a NAVAIR Campaign Plan that will leverage Technical and Acquisition capabilities.
