Full Job Description

You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER in the AIR SYSTEMS GROUP, PROPULSION AND POWER ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Expertise in aircraft turbine engine engineering; 2) experience in engineering project and program management; 3) experience leading and mentoring teams; 4) experience executing Research, Development, Test and Evaluation projects; 5) knowledge of resource and financial management.

  • You will provide both technical engineering and program management support to the Office of Naval Research (ONR) funded efforts.
  • You will coordinate all aspects of Propulsion and Power from strategic planning, organization of technical SME skills to oversight of project execution.
  • You will plan and develop all system technical requirements, development and implementation of program plans, and the coordination of technical work efforts by NAWCAD engineers and contractors.
  • You will provide authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues to ensure that all engineering requirements are met.
