Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as an engineer to maintain and support the F-35 aircraft and its systems for the Navy, focusing on technical analysis, repairs, and ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently.
You'll oversee teams, evaluate new ideas, and manage services to keep the planes operational.
It's a great fit for experienced engineers who enjoy problem-solving in a military aviation setting and have a background in sustaining complex equipment.
You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER in the F-35 TEAM WITHIN THE FLEET SUPPORT TEAM (FST) of FLTREADCEN EAST.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Expertise in Fleet Support Team (FST) Engineering; 2) Developing program sustainment and acquisition engineering support; 3) Effectively managing technical and professional services required to sustain a weapon system; 4) Evaluating new approaches, guides and standards to make engineering decisions.
