The primary purpose of this position, INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST, GG-0132-13 is to support effective research, development, fielding, employment, sustainment and improvement of Air Force capabilities by identifying intelligence requirements, resolving/mitigating deficiencies, integrating intelligence, and providing needed intelligence data and infrastructure in a timely and secure manner.

In order to qualify, you must meet the quality experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position.

Examples of creditable experience include: providing/enabling integrated Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities through the development, acquisition, modernization, integration and support of affordable and sustainable advanced aerospace; cyberspace; munitions; nuclear; and command, control and communications capabilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.

Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and intelligence policy and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles and missions, and inter-relationships. 2.

Knowledge of acquisition policy and guidance and the role intelligence plays throughout a weapon system lifecycle; Acquisition Intelligence analysis mission and strategy; and the roles and responsibilities of field intelligence offices in support of research laboratories, acquisition program offices, and life-cycle management, nuclear, sustainment, and system testing enterprises.

Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research methods, techniques, and practices and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source intelligence information to produce detailed intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, identify intelligence deficiencies, and advocate for customer requirements.

Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing intelligence requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients.

Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: *Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.

Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

*Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

-Perform complex intelligence analysis with emphasis on Air Force and DoD programs/systems acquisition activities and leads teams/projects supporting MAJCOM, Air Force, and DoD acquisition processes and programs.

-Employ expertise to achieve technical understanding of a US weapon system's intelligence information requirements to identify and minimize cost, schedule, and performance risks as early in the system's life-cycle as possible.

-Present Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to a variety of program office, service, national, and/or coalition customers.

-Serve as an Intelligence authority on specific ISR programs, systems, or issues.
