Summary

This job involves supervising intelligence analysis for the U.S.

Coast Guard, focusing on researching and producing reports about foreign countries' political, economic, and military situations to support national security.

You'll manage requests for information, coordinate with teams and external partners, and maintain databases and systems to ensure timely delivery of intelligence products.

Full Job Description

This vacancy is for a GS-132-13, Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist, located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United State Coast Guard (USCG), Assistant Commandant for Intelligence (CG-2), Intelligence Coordination Center (ICC), Strategic Intelligence Department, Production Division, Largo, FL.

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

Specialized experience must include the following: Performing analysis and production tasks related to assigned area(s) in political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographic, technical or military conditions for one or more foreign countries.

Planning, implementing and maintaining databases required to process all-source material to produce intelligence.

Identifying intelligence gaps, proposing collection requirements to fill gaps, and developing analytical tools and methodologies to cope with the gaps.

Liaising with external stakeholders to appropriately address their requests for information and ensure that their requirements are met.

NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.

Major Duties:

You will serve as a ICC Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist and as an intelligence analyst for the Commanding Officer.

Being a Coast Guard (CG) civilian makes you a valuable member of the CG team. Typical work assignments include: Processing and managing Request for Information (RFI's), tasks, and products.

Coordinating requirement responses and delivery and ensures responses are delivered to the customer and processes requirement for closing in the appropriate task management system when RFI or task is completed.

Managing the On-Line Intelligence System for End Users and Managers and other task management systems at ICC and serve as a subject matter expert for those systems for the CG Intelligence Community, responding to user problems.

Using available Intelligence Community web sites and databases to conduct preliminary research on received RFI's to determine if answers exist to received RFI's.

Using available tools to provide metrics on a variety of measures related to production processing and product development and delivery and disseminates them to the requestor.
