About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Al Udeid Air Base.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have skill in evaluating customer input and feedback, leisure trends, marketing strategies and trends to ensure a well-balanced program.
Must possess experience in functions of the travel industry which demonstrate the following (1) A practical knowledge of the tour and travel industry (2) A knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures, (3) The ability to plan and organize recreational activities for groups of people.
Must be able to deal with the public and be able to communicate effectively. Must be well-organized, accurate, detail-oriented, professional and courteous.
Requires driving license and willingness to operate 44 PAX bus. Must have basic computer experience.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Tier 1 Investigation. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Preemployment Physical and Drug test.
Incumbent must sign the Air Force Mobility agreement. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Aids in planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of recreation, entertainment, and travel-related activities and programs.
Assists patrons by providing information on available leisure activities, making reservations, and arranging special accommodations for tours, sporting events, theaters, and special events.
Provides information regarding tour itineraries, boat cruises, recreational parks, sightseeing tours, shopping excursions, festivals, fairs, and cultural activities.
Completes all necessary phone calls and forms for booking reservations and ensures customers are advised of all pertinent information and procedures.
Performs related administrative support duties and may work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Operates government-provided vehicles to transport participants for trips and tours and may accompany contracted tour guides as directed by the Flight Chief.
Assists in administering traditional and non-traditional workshops, clinics, and events in a variety of leisure and recreation areas, in tune with offerings popular in the local area, including but not limited to kayaking, desert safaris, fishing, scuba diving, parasailing, and water sports.
Performs entertainment and promotion scheduling. Researches and provides information and referrals for a variety of recreational opportunities for individuals on base.
Establishes and maintains close working relationships with travel operators, restaurants, hotels, theme parks, and attractions in the local area.
Periodically acts as a tour guide or conducts site visits to ensure program success and patron satisfaction.
Packages, prices, and schedules tours to meet anticipated demand and based on destination availability, cost, and potential success.
Answers telephone inquiries and provide information on a wide variety of recreational activities, cultural events, attractions, and MWR programs.
Assists in the procurement of entertainment to perform on base and works with the Entertainment Director to ensure accurate completion of letters of instruction, publicity requirements, performance schedules, and logistical arrangements.
Assists with escorting entertainers and show personnel during their stay.
Supports MWR publicity efforts through coordination with the Marketing Department, Public Affairs Office, and other media outlets.
Assists in researching and developing cost-effective and engaging programs, events, and promotions. Prepares and distributes, flyers, posters, videos, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
