This position is with the Asset Forfeiture Management Staff (AFMS) serving the AFMS Forfeiture Systems (FS) group.

FS provides implementation and management services for the asset forfeiture community in the disciplines of information systems, infrastructure, and operations.

Support includes development, modernization, and maintenance of custom and COTS business applications, such as the Consolidated Asset Tracking System (CATS) and other software.

To qualify for the position of Information Technology Specialist (Infosec), at GS-2210-13/14you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to the series and grade you are applying to.

If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade.

Basic Requirement: To qualify for the position of IT Specialist (Infosec) GS-2210-13/14, all applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: (1) Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

(2) Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

(3) Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.

(4) Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must meet the qualifications listed below: Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, 1-year (52 weeks) of specialized experience is required at the next lower grade level, GS-12 or equivalent pay band in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as coordinating requirements among organizational units in project design; providing guidance to ensure systems comply with department, or audit regulations; and developing, modernizing, or maintaining custom business applications, such as Consolidated Asset Tracking System (CATS), eShare, and SharePoint portals like eDocs.

PERFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience acting as a Forfeiture Systems' Customer User Group Representative (CUG) or 3 years of experience with DOJ-AFMS' Consolidated Asset Tracking System (CATS) and other Forfeiture Systems applications and an understanding of the complete asset forfeiture life cycle, legal requirements and agencies processes.

For the GS-14, 1-year (52 weeks) of specialized experience is required at the next lower grade level, GS-13 or equivalent pay band in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as prioritizing and coordinating requirements among organizational units in project design and/or management of ongoing programs; providing oversight and guidance to ensure systems comply with legislative, department, or audit regulations; and developing, modernizing, or maintaining custom business applications, such as Consolidated Asset Tracking System (CATS), eShare, and SharePoint portals like eDocs.

PERFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience acting as a Forfeiture Systems' Customer User Group Representative (CUG) or 5 years of experience with DOJ-AFMS' Consolidated Asset Tracking System (CATS) and other Forfeiture Systems applications and an understanding of the complete asset forfeiture life cycle, legal requirements and agencies processes.

The duties and responsibilities for an Information Technology Specialist (Infosec), GS-2210-13/14 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: * Provides implementation and management services for the asset forfeiture community in the disciplines of information systems, infrastructure, and operations.

* Develops, modernizes, and maintains the custom and COTS business applications, such as the Consolidated Asset Tracking System (CATS), SharePoint services, eShare, and Forfeiture.gov.

* Provides software analysis, oversees development, server maintenance; security; configuration management; data analytics and reporting.

* Provides oversight and guidance to ensure systems comply with legislative, department, and audit regulations. The duties listed above are generally written for one grade level.

If the position is advertised at multiple grades, the duties will be adjusted in difficulty complexity, and level of supervision, for higher or lower grades, as appropriate.
