Job Description

Summary

This job involves providing hands-on technical support for the Pennsylvania Lottery's computer systems, including setting up servers, fixing problems, and ensuring everything runs smoothly without disrupting operations.

Key Requirements

  • Three years of IT experience with one year in a relevant technical specialty (or equivalent education/experience combination)

Full Job Description

As an IT Generalist Administrator 1, you will have the opportunity to utilize your specialist skillset to perform advanced technical IT services and support for several critical areas of the PA Lottery. Requirements

In this role, you will be responsible for providing operational support including configuration and troubleshooting of any issues of all Lottery systems, ensuring no interruptions to lottery operations.

Work involves providing operational application server support including configuration of services/addons/features, optimization, and maintenance with multiple environments, as well as upgrading software including Windows Server version as needed based on end of life or security patching requirements.

You will also be responsible for providing Incident Management and response services as needed.

You will have the opportunity to instruct, train, and coach personnel on the principles of developing test plans and the acceptance testing process for current break fix solutions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position requires occasional after-hours and off-hours support.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office on Tuesday and Wednesday every week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Middletown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or
  • Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
  • One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
