As an IT Generalist 1, you will be tasked with solving difficult and complicated network, desktop and server software and hardware problems.
Our team will rely on you to serve as an expert resource on desktop connectivity, and on the installation and configuration of newly acquired or upgraded hardware or software.
It is essential for you to maintain broad and advanced technical knowledge of computing hardware and software, data cabling, networking standards, capabilities and trends.
This position identifies and manages issues or risks affecting projects.
You can expect to run hardware and software diagnostics to troubleshoot computer malfunctions and perform minor repairs and adjustments.
Customer service and communication skills will be key as you receive help calls and provide direct support and assistance to end-users.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, one day per week after satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
