Apply for this Information Security Specialist 2 position with our Enterprise Information Security Office, Security Operations Section.
In this role, you will direct security hardware and software infrastructure for Public Safety and Enterprise security administration, planning, and design, as well as provide technical and administrative control over the security operations solutions supporting firewall management applications, remote access, and incident response.

In this position, you will focus on administrative and advanced technical work directing security hardware and software infrastructure, evaluating all network security policies, and making highly technical system changes and decisions affecting IT teams that support Public Safety and related operations.
This involves leading efforts to design, manage, and oversee procedures for identifying network security policy violations as well as overseeing the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, databases, security, and related hardware and software.
Responsibilities involve coordinating project management for multiple assignments with conflicting priorities or demands.
You will also serve as a central point of contact to coordinate and implement network access and ensure network security.
This includes collaborating with IT professionals in our service delivery centers and with non-technical professionals and users in the Enterprise we serve.
Our team will rely on your expertise and leadership to help enable them to meet their business objectives while lowering the risk of misuse of information and denial of service.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
