THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1656P01 and is part of the 107TH ATKW, National Guard.

This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

Military Grades: Enlisted GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately.

Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats.

Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures.

Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels.

Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level, experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

Initiating and implementing policies and procedures required to manage sensitive compartmented information (SCI) programs and to protect SCI resources.

Acting as resident expert on all SCI security matters. Major Duties:

As an INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST ( GS-0080-11) you will serve as Special Security Office. Administers the Special Security Office (SSO) and all SCI-associated security programs and measures.

Provides detailed research and analysis on physical, computer, and personnel security.

This position requires a comprehensive working knowledge of intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices.
