As an Immigration Services Officer, you will identify, design, coordinate, and deliver training services to meet the training requirements of U.S.

Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Field Office Directorate (FOD) in the local office. The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 01/23/2026.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.

The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 01/23/2026.

GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.

You must have experience performing the following duties: Developing training materials; Providing training, coaching, mentoring to ensure quality and consistency; Researching, writing, and making final determinations on difficult and sensitive immigration benefits cases.

  • Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, within District 31 and are assigned based on the need of the agency.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in the training and development.
  • Provides overall coordination of the local training programs.
  • Works with management to identify individual and broad based training needs.
  • Coordinate compliance with mandatory training requirements and maintain records of compliance.
  • Facilitate the professional development of all employees by identifying training events and opportunities.
  • Notifies employees of such opportunities, and consulting with employees and their supervisors regarding individual development plan.
