Full Job Description

You will serve as a IDENTIFICATION RESOURCE ASSIST (OA) in the HEADQUARTERS AND SERVICE BATTALION of HQTSBATTALION.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing a wide variety of procedural and substantive clerical duties, including verifying all information is accurate and correct and issuing ID cards to appropriate personnel.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will review forms, documentation, and other related information from service members to process DEERS enrollment and issue ID cards.
  • You will research and/or provide factual information regarding directly applicable rules, regulations, procedures, and requirements to provide explanation of actions taken or recommended.
  • You will operate a computer terminal to input and retrieve data from the Real-time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) that controls the medical coverage database for the Defense Eligibility Enrollment System (DEERS).
  • You will interview personnel to obtain data needed to complete actions or obtain data from previously completed files and records.
  • You will research and provide factual information regarding directly applicable rules, regulations, procedures, and requirements to provide explanations of actions taken or recommended.
