Full Job Description
Under general direction, is responsible for performing technical and supervisory work in the operation and maintenance of large heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and related equipment. Exercises direct supervision over assigned staff.

7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Monday - Friday
Requirements
- Plans and organizes staff to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all HVAC equipment, to include the proper training, direction and management of staff to achieve this goal.
- Develops maintenance requirements and schedules for all equipment, including repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Makes periodic inspections of all equipment.
- Provides the necessary training for the operation and maintenance of equipment, occasionally lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Operates central HVAC controls in the absence of a trained operator.
- Oversees maintenance records of all equipment.
- Prepares operating and management reports.
- Determines the requirement and use of outside maintenance contractors on HVAC equipment.
- Directs the installation of new equipment.
- Directs the calibration and repair of automated controls and equipment.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines in operation of the building infrastructure.
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency).
- Ten (10) years of experience supervising commercial HVAC systems, to include two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
- Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Class "A" license with combined endorsements (C) issued by the State of Texas within six (6) months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications- Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.
- Experience with Direct Digital Controls (DDC).
- Experience using Building Automation Systems.
- Experience using Direct Expansion (DX) Unitary Systems Package Systems (20 tons or larger).
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controllers.

One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months.
One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
