Full Job Description

Incumbent performs tasks related to human resources for the SAA and serves as a point of contact for human resources activities, programs, policies and projects.

The incumbent serves as a point of contact for employee related programs, position management, performance management and confidential employee matters.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience conducting confidential employee investigations, documenting findings and preparing comprehensive written investigative reports.

Experience managing Family Medical Leave by meeting with program applicants, verifying form submission, and providing process information. Experience delivering briefings up to senior level leadership.

Experience preparing and coordinating posting of vacancy announcements.

Experience managing data (e.g., timekeeping, performance management, recruiting, on/off boarding, etc.) in Human Resource Information Systems.

Experience conducting briefings on administrative procedures/processes, career paths and performance management. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant work experience.

Knowledge of human capital concepts and strategies with the ability to apply that knowledge in support of SAA needs, goals, and objectives, including designing strategies to support leadership in planning for and obtaining necessary resources.

Resource Management - Knowledge of principles, techniques, and best practices related to financial, budget, contract, and inventory management and the ability to apply them to ensure persistent, responsible, and successful program operations.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment: This position is based in a typical office environment.

Actual weight handled varies, but the role involves handling items including books, documents, and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.

The incumbent should be capable of meeting physical requirements, which may include sitting, lifting, bending, crouching, walking, and standing. Work Schedule: Full-time, permanent.

The incumbent serves as a point of contact for employee related programs, position management, performance management and confidential employee matters.

Duties: (Typical duties include, but are not necessarily limited to) Serves as lead in conducting confidential employee investigations, to include investigating sensitive and/or complex employee relations matters from start to finish, conducting thorough intake, documenting findings, and following up with all relevant parties.

Compiles, prepares and maintains relevant documentation to create timely and comprehensive written investigative reports that clearly identify the issues investigated, reference relevant organization/department policies, and make recommendations for resolution in the executive-level summary.

Organizes, prioritizes, and appropriately handles and maintains time-sensitive, confidential information and ensures all actions are addressed in a timely manner.

Reviews and approves SAA employee requests for Family Medical Leave and Leave Share; maintains and secures sensitive documentation relating to these requests.

Conducts briefings on administrative processes, procedures and practices. Serves as a point of contact for the Human Resources Information System.

Assists with preparing and posting vacancy announcements. Assists with career path, job description, and performance management processes when needed.

Assists with the development and implementation of documents and procedures relating to human resource programs and projects and provides recommendations for process improvements.

Assists with various Human Resources programs, projects, policies and initiatives. Assists with the Administrative Point of Contacts Program.

Assists the Assistant SAA, Administration and Deputy Assistant SAA, Administration with special projects. Performs other duties as assigned.
