Human Resource Consultant Assistant 2 (HRCA2)
Training/Resolutions
Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC)
Full Time- Non-Permanent

The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Human Resources Consultant Assistant 2 (HRCA2) at Clallam Bay Corrections Center.

Clallam Bay Corrections Center is a 900-bed male facility located on the point of the Olympic Peninsula.

It is 50 miles west of Port Angeles and looks out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca at Vancouver Island. This facility houses medium and close custody incarcerated individuals.

CBCC also operates a Restricted Housing Unit.

Whether the work is inside a prison, in community corrections, or in an administrative office, the Washington State Department of Corrections professional staff experience a high degree of personal satisfaction knowing they are creating environments in which all incarcerated individuals can learn to make choices that contribute to a safer society.


Requirements


The Human Resource Consultant Assistant 2 (HRCA2) assists the CBCC Facility Performance Coordinator (FPC) and Resolution Program Manager.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the facilitation, direction and implementation of all aspects of the facility’s Resolution Program (RP).
  • Provides clerical support to FPC and Resolutions Specialist.
  • Collect all complaints, in accordance with policy, from the facility resolution boxes.
  • Scan appropriate resolution documentation into OnBase in a timely manner and using the appropriate applications.
  • Confirm all resolution documentation is accurate and filed for appropriate processing, manage timelines at each level of review.
  • Secure all resolution documentation to include: maintaining appropriate and accurate filing of hard copies, including rewrite concerns.
  • Follow guidelines listed in the RPM manual to include: appropriate archiving and disposition of resolution documents and maintain confidentiality of the program.
  • Transcribe written/oral resolution requests at all levels.
  • Provide and prepare documentation for public disclosure requests.
  • Track and input training participation, data entry and report management in the Learning Center (LC) database.
  • Create course assignments, classes, locations, classrooms and user defined tasks within the LC database.
  • Enroll staff into class offerings, process attendance, and complete the gradebook for each session.
  • Create, run and pull simple to complex reports using Standard reports, Custom Reports and HRMS within LC.
  • Schedule Instructors and assign to staff DOC courses for Annual In-Service, Administrative Orientation, and online training classes as required by the Training and Development Unit.
  • Schedule Administrative Orientation for all new staff.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Ability to multitask and function in fast paced environment.

Desired:

  • 2 years office experience including 2 years' experience in Human Resources or related setting or equivalent education/ experience.
