This position allows you to utilize your analytical and communication skills to provide technical assistance and advice to managers and supervisors. Requirements

This position will give you the opportunity to perform human resource work in the field of Employee Relations for the Department of Health by application of general principles and concepts of employee relations.

You will serve as a point of contact and expert resource for managers and supervisors.The role of the Human Resource Analyst 2 will focus on providing guidance and consultation to all levels of management regarding contract interpretation and administration; disciplinary actions; subcontracting and preservation of bargaining unit work issues; meeting and discussing obligations and local agreements; the Governor's Code of Conduct; and all other facets of the employee relations function.

Additional duties will include conducting investigations into complaints of alleged employee policy violations, work performance concerns, time and attendance issues, inappropriate work conduct, and preparing written reports in regard to findings and recommendations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office at Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 or Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of analytical experience that includes one year of professional human resource or equal opportunity experience, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
