THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a HR SPEC (MILITARY), Position Description Number D1105000 and is part of the CO JFHQ G1, National Guard.
This position is located in the Military Personnel Office (MILPO) of the Colorado Army National Guard (COARNG). Military Grades: E-5 thru O-3 or W-1 thru W-5 1.
Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. An applicants RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below. 3.

You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 12 months of experience in each of the following: 1.
Experience applying fundamental military human resource management principles and practices; and standardized analytical and evaluative methods and techniques in order to provide technical expertise and guidance as well as management advisory services to resolve factual and procedural issues within the particular area of assignment.
2. Knowledge of applicable regulations relating to the field of military human resources management and the area of assignment. 3.
Experience communicating effectively both orally and in writing, with individuals, supervisors, and management. Major Duties:
The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise and guidance for all military personnel assigned in the state, and oversee the functions of one of the following human resource programs: Officer Personnel Management (OPM), Enlisted Personnel Management (EPM), IPPS-A, or the Personnel Services Section.
Serves as an advisor to commanders on assigned unit human resources (HR) program. Responsible for and oversees the direction of the EPM or OPM program and functions as the technical expert.
Responsible for and oversees the direction of the IPPS-A program and functions as the technical expert.
This position has a key role in administering and managing military education programs (such as tuition assistance, GI Bill guidance and education counseling) and incentives (such as bonuses and Student Loan Repayment Program).
Responsible for and oversees the direction of the Personnel Services Section and functions as the technical expert.
Accomplishes and oversees the accomplishment of technical support work in the program area assigned with the assistance of subordinate employees which may be Active Guard Reserve (AGR), full time Technician, or civilian.
Performs other duties as assigned.
