Housekeeper
Salary $13.50 - $15 per hour
The West Virginia Veterans Home, a welcoming residence dedicated to serving honorably discharged veterans, is seeking a full-time Housekeeper.
This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM. At the West Virginia Veterans Home, you will join a team that values and respects the well-being of our veterans.
Our home provides a comfortable and supportive environment for independent veterans, and we are committed to maintaining a clean and pleasant living space for them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep and mop hallways / rooms
- Clean tables, chairs, and other furniture
- Move furniture as needed
- Wash beds and furniture
- Gather and dispose of trash
- Clean and restock bathrooms
- Operate housekeeping equipment such as sweepers, buffers, and floor scrubbers
- Oversee resident workers in housekeeping duties
Requirements:
- Ability to work well with others and as part of a team.
- Capability to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, climb stairs, and stand for long periods.
- Willingness to perform other duties as required.
