This job is for a Client Care Aide at a veterans' nursing home in Florence, Colorado, where you'll help residents with everyday tasks like bathing, dressing, eating, and getting around to ensure they live comfortably and safely.
It's ideal for compassionate people who enjoy hands-on caregiving and want to support veterans, surviving spouses, or Gold Star parents in a respectful team environment.
No advanced degree is needed, but you'll work under nurses and follow health rules closely.

This position provides direct, hands-on care to residents by assisting with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, feeding and hydration, toileting, range of motion, ambulation, transferring, and transporting.
The role involves maintaining infection control and safety through the use of universal precautions, proper lifting techniques, and appropriate use of equipment and safety devices such as transfer belts and lifts.
Staff support residents’ independence by guiding and instructing them in self-care activities, arranging personal and environmental needs, and engaging them socially to enhance overall well-being.
Communication with residents includes explaining care before, during, and after interactions, answering call lights, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to recommend routines, schedules, or care adjustments, including dietary modifications when necessary
Transport residents for medical appointments, deliver blood draws to the lab, drive a resident to a doctor’s appointment, or to the hospital (if not transported by ambulance). etc.

Maintain education by attending mandatory and non-mandatory in-house and off-site educational training, cornerstone online training and staff meetings to maintain current on techniques, policies to keep current as mandated by state law, VA regulations and facility policy and procedures
High school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED).
Substitutions:Current, valid certification as a Nurse Aide (CNA) from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies will substitute for the high school diploma or GED.
This position requires State of Colorado residency at the time of application (unless otherwise identified in the posting), and residency within the state throughout the duration of employment in this position.
Motor Vehicle Check , if the employee will drive a state-owned vehicle, either in an on-going capacity while performing their normal day-to-day job duties OR on occasion for training/meetings/client visits/etc.
Must possess a valid, non-restricted Colorado Driver’s License or an non-restricted U.S. Driver's License for positions within 30 miles of the CO state border
Out-of-State Driver’s License holders must obtain a valid, non-restricted Colorado Driver’s License within 30 days of employment start date.
