About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) credentialing and privileging of licensed independent practitioners (LIP) in a healthcare facility such as in a US Military healthcare facility or the Military Health System; 2) clinical adverse actions against LIPs and other healthcare personnel in a healthcare facility such as the Military Health System; and 3) applying and adapting administrative principles or practices in the analysis of organizational studies, statistical analysis, and/or development of plans.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Major Duties:

  • Serve as the consulting authority on credentialing, privileging and adverse actions for the DHN.
  • Prepares and review completed staff actions and studies, as required, expressing conclusions and recommendations that serve as a guide to higher officials.
  • Assist in the credentialing and privileging actions.
  • Monitors and prepare reports on the status of provider license, certification and privileging status within the DHN
  • Assist in conducting meetings with representatives of network MTFs for the purpose of coordinating action on projects assigned by higher headquarters, and designs plans to meet target mission goals.
