About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: analyzing health care service performance within a medical facility; assisting in the development of facility procedures to improve performance; and utilizing electronic health records (EHR) to support data retrieval and analysis.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Major Duties:

  • Facilitate the integration or consolidation of the programs or processes by negotiating and/or mediating agreement between the various organizations.
  • Analyze programs to determine where there are parallel or duplicate programs or processes.
  • Coordinate multiple projects associated with health care programs and systems to include information systems.
  • Assess several alternatives to assist customers in justifying investments and in planning their budgets for recommended solutions.
  • Encourage participative project-management to minimize change resistance.
