Contra Costa County Health is offering an excellent employment opportunity for three (3) full-time Health Services Information Technology Clinical Systems Analyst II positions assigned primarily to the Health Services Information Technology Unit located in Martinez, CA.
The Health Services Information Technology Clinical Systems Analyst II is responsible for the ongoing professional support of Epic and mission-critical clinical, business and operational applications.
This support includes planning, implementing, and organizing activities relating to enterprise-wide application selection, deployment and optimization and training; other responsibilities include reviewing, analyzing and evaluating system and/or service requests using structured techniques and methodology; managing all or portions of a project from the initial fact-gathering meeting, through post-implementation review; system troubleshooting and issue resolution; developing and maintaining training environments and materials; and providing role-based education.

Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited clinical specialty or allied health program.
Systems Experience: Three (3) years of full-time, or its equivalent, of system analysis experience in a health care information systems environment, working with end users to extract, document and optimize data flow, implement hospital systems, and support applications and databases.
Incumbent will have demonstrable project management experience in the role of technical or application team lead for a major complex project or direct experience as a project manager for smaller projects.
AND
Clinical Experience: Two (2) years of full-time, or its equivalent, of professional experience, in a clinical specialty or allied health discipline in either a hospital, medical, dental, or behavioral health facility.
Substitution for Experience: A current Epic certification may be substituted for six (6) months of the required systems experience.
Certification: Some positions may require the employee to receive and maintain certification by the vendor on the applications supported. This certification is required within six (6) months of notification from the supervisor.

Desirable Qualifications:
Remote Oral Interview: Candidates that clearly demonstrate that they possess the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in a remote oral interview.
The oral interview will measure candidates' competencies as they relate to the job.
These may include, but are not limited to: Delivering Results, Project Management, Thinking & Acting Systematically, Customer Focus, and Critical Thinking.
Candidates must achieve a passing score on each of the competencies to pass the overall assessment and be placed on the eligible list. (Weighted 100%)
The assessments may be administered remotely using a computer or mobile device such as a tablet. You will need access to a reliable internet connection to take the assessment.
TENTATIVE EXAM DATES
Remote Oral Interview: January 30, 2026 – February 5, 2026
The Human Resources Department may change the examination steps noted above in accordance with the Personnel Management Regulations and accepted selection practices.
CONVICTION HISTORY
After you receive a conditional job offer, you will be fingerprinted, and your fingerprints will be sent to the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The resulting report of your conviction history (if any) will be used to determine whether the nature of your conviction conflicts with the specific duties and responsibilities of the job for which you have received a conditional job offer.
If a conflict exists, you will be asked to present any evidence of rehabilitation that may mitigate the conflict, except when federal or state regulations bar employment in specific circumstances.
Having a conviction history does not automatically preclude you from a job with Contra Costa County.
If you accept a conditional job offer, the Human Resources department will contact you to schedule a fingerprinting appointment.
DISASTER SERVICE WORKER
All Contra Costa County employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state and local law. Employment with the County requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect.
Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Worker-related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
