Certification by the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of appointment, and maintain certification during period of employment.Valid driver license.
Preferred Qualifications:Two years or more experience in Health Information Management.Current on state and federal laws, national standards, and department policies governing health records and health information disclosure and ability to apply that knowledge in an appropriate manner.Experience working in a correctional facility.

Tuberculosis (TB) is a priority health issue for DOC employees. The successful candidate may be required to provide valid proof of a baseline TB skin test within 60 days from the date of hire.

Foreign equivalent degrees awarded outside the United States must have a credential evaluation report attached to your application.

(FOR RN POSITIONS) Salary is based on experience and is determined at the time a final offer of employment is made. The salary range listed in the job posting includes Steps A-U.
Step U is a longevity step and is typically gained six years after being assigned to Step T in your permanent salary range.
(FOR ALL OTHER NON WMS POSITIONS) Salary is based on experience and is determined at the time a final offer of employment is made. The salary range listed in the job posting includes Steps A-M.
Step M is a longevity step and is typically gained six years after being assigned to Step L in your permanent salary range.
